Seller Description

I am reluctantly putting my roadster up for sale.  I really like this car but since I retired, I find that I don’t drive it much.  It’s not great for carrying golf clubs and it’s taking up valuable space in my garage.  This is an excellent example of the 01 M roadster.  For those who are unfamiliar, the 01-02 series of the M roadster features the S-54 engine and is significantly quicker than previous models.  The previous models were pretty quick already.  The exterior finish is excellent and the interior is very good.  I put a new battery in it last winter and a new cd player in the dash when the cassette player failed.  I still have the factory unit and I’m sure it’s repairable if you’re a purist.  I also have the factory 6 disk changer which plugs into it.  I’ve graduated to a flash drive plugged into the usb input.

This car comes came with a removable hardtop, which is currently mounted.  It definitely makes it quieter on road trips and more weather-proof in the winter.  It is easily removed (with a helper) for the top-down experience, and the soft top is in good shape and works well.  There are no issues with this car that I know of.  The tires are Michelen Pilot Sport and are in good shape.  It had recent oil service with Castrol synthetic and is ready to go.  I welcome questions from serious buyers.  Please email me.

My Comments

Sold 11/11/12 - Looks like this one got traded. Now at a Chevy dealer.

11/4/12 Update - Auction ended with a high bid of $16,500 which did not meet the reserve

10/29/12 Update - Back on Ebay with an unknown reserve

8/8/12 Update - No bids at the $17,000 starting price

It looks very nice for the mileage, and the hardtop looks great. It's nice that the seller is providing a new rear soft top window. I'm not sure what the reserve is.
